  • Olivia Pedersen

    BOARD CHAIR

    Olivia Pedersen is a National Facilitator and Life Coach. She spent 25 years teaching French and Spanish to Middle and High Schoolers both in Atlanta and in schools in England. Throughout her career she has mentored teachers and facilitated groups to discuss educational issues. She believes in shared good practice and collaboration and regards herself as a life-long learner.

  • Dorothy Evans

    VICE CHAIR

    Dorothy Evans is an Administrative Leadership Coach for The Paideia School, an in-town, independent, PreK-12th grade school. Over the course of her 43-year tenure, Dorothy has served as Assistant Head of School, Learning Specialist, and Teacher. She has a Master’s in Education from Emory University and a B.A. in Psychology from University of Mary Washington.

  • Siobhan Gardner

    SECRETARY

    Siobhan Gardner is a Senior Academic and Program Strategy Consultant with Bellwether Education Partners. Previously, Siobhan taught and led within KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools for 15 years. Most recently, she was school principal of KIPP South Fulton Academy in East Point. In this role, she partnered with families, students, and staff to bring to life her vision of a community anchored in joy and academic excellence.

  • Ben Garrett

    TREASURER


    Ben Garrett is the Innovation Programming and Operations Manager of The Hatchery, Emory University's Center for Innovation. Ben’s passion and experiences center the creation and sustainability of nonprofits and social enterprises. Having been a facilitator, consultant and coach for dozens of social entrepreneurs, he has done everything from lead planning retreats, and raising funds to inventing a cryptocurrency and exploring experimental pedagogies.

  • Carl DiSalvo

    Carl DiSalvo is an Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has a Ph.D. in Design from Carnegie Mellon University and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Studio for Creative Inquiry and the Center for Arts in Society. He is the author of two books: Adversarial Design (2012) and Design as Democratic Inquiry (2022).
