    Rachel Gomez Peterson, an impassioned educator and leader with a foundation in both education and business, excels in forging diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI+) programs that nurture inclusivity and authentic connections within organizations. Her approach, rooted in the latest research and pedagogical techniques, has significantly contributed to organizational realignment and sustainable growth, particularly through The Commons, which aims to revolutionize learning through collaboration and community.

    Based in Atlanta, Rachel's dedication to creating transformative spaces is evident in her work, where she integrates organizational, program, and people leadership to foster environments of collaboration, belonging, and empowerment. Her expertise in developing and managing programs aligns seamlessly with organizational objectives, driving meaningful outcomes and cultivating an inclusive culture aligned with DEI+ principles.

    Ashley Hughes Austin is a third-generation educator born and raised in Atlanta. Formerly an M&A lawyer in New York City, Ashley found her true calling in creating spaces that affirm individuals, cultivate learning, and foster understanding. Her journey led her to work closely with students and teachers, where she developed curricula, reformed school procedures, and championed diversity and equity.

    Now fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Ashley manages teams, builds programming, and provides coaching. The Commons operates with the belief that learning and connecting are essential for transformation. Ashley is passionate about partnering with organizations across sectors to design and facilitate courses, workshops, and strategic initiatives that unlock growth and cultivate a collaborative culture. As a dedicated educator, Ashley finds inspiration in the enduring connections forged when curiosity, learning, and creativity intersect.
